This is THE HISTORY OF SOUTH SHIELDS by GEORGE B. HODGSON, a first edition published by ANDREW REID, NEWCASTLE in 1924. 269 numbered pages - illustrated.
The book is complete in original faded/marked worn green cloth binding - bumped corners - a previous owners pasted-in label to first free endpaper reads: "Mary D. Ingham, 6 Blagdon Ave., So. Shields" - browned edges and some marking throughout but all text clear - I class this item as being in reasonably fair condition - a good reference/reading copy.
